At CHOIR, we believe that our capacity to conduct high quality, meaningful, and action-oriented research is enhanced when we partner with Veterans and the people who care for them. Our collaborative processes allow us to conceptualize, design, conduct, and disseminate research that aims to improve the VA health system and promote the health and well-being of Veterans. Since 2016, we have been committed to creating opportunities for Veterans and caregivers to share their expertise and be active contributors to our research.  

CHOIR’s Veteran Engagement in Research Group (VERG) is comprised of staff across all levels of the organization who are organized to support researchers, Veterans, and caregivers in working collaboratively to design and conduct impactful research and quality improvement studies.
